A quick update
I'm just getting around to my e-mail and such -- we drove back from Lubbock today.
Thank you all for your well wishes. Things went VERY well for me. This event was life changing.
I was bib 271 - my stats below:
SWIM: 31:09
BIKE : 3:17:35
RUN: 2:36:06
OVERALL: 6:32:08
It's going to take a couple posts to get it all out. More to come.
See ya out there...

Man. Your times ROCKED! Congratulations on a super fast race! Glad it went well for you and can't wait to hear all about it...
You were amazing out there and we are so proud of you! You are an inspiration to all and your son is so proud of his daddy!

You swam better than me, but we were practically on the same pieces of road during the bike and run. Congrats on finishing a very challenging course.
I want to go again next year and go harder. But a plane ticket is definitely in order.
Rockin fast swim and a good steady bike. The run turns out to 5MPH which is about 2MPH faster than what I think I'd be able to muster up after 57.2 miles of swimming and biking. Congratulations. A very inspiring posting. Anxious to read about the life changing experience.
